California Cookies
Description
These are sweet cookies, i made years ago from a recipe in a magazine, nice if you dont want all chocolateIngredients
4oz/ 115g of Butter (i did use salty, just use whatever your preference)
3oz/75g of Caster sugar
3oz/75g of Brown suger
6oz/180g of Self raising flour
4oz/115g of California Raisins (those maid ones if you can find, if not any will do, make sure they are seedless)
2oz/50g milk chocolate chunks (i bought a bar and broke it into chunky pieces, if not choclate drops will do)
Methods/steps
1) Cream together the sugar and butter, until creamy and light
2) Beat in egg
3) Fold in the flour, chocolate chunks and raisins
4) Preheat oven to 180C, 350F, Gas mark 4 (if fan oven 170c)
5) Flour a board, roll teaspons of the mixture into balls (i found if i floured my hands it helps)
6) Grease up a baking tray and place the balls on, allowing room for cookies to spread
7) Bake in oven for about 15 mins
8) Allow to cool on tray to firm up and then place on wire rack to cool


Additional Tips
Keep them in an air tight container and they will keep for a few days.
