Neil & Bev's Spaghetti Bolognese
Description
Named after my old friends, a recipe with the help of tomato and basil sauceIngredients
500g of lean mince beef
2 small onions, cut into small pieces
2 garlic cloves finely chopped or crushed
1 medium green pepper finely chopped
1 medium red pepper finely chopped
1 tbsp worcester sauce
1 tsp marmite
3 drops of tabasco sauce
1 oxo cube
1 large jar of tomato and basil sauce
red wine (optional)
Methods/steps
1) Fry onions and garlic in olive oil, on medium heat, till browned
2) Add mince and fry until grey , on hot heat
3) Add the peppers and fry mince until dark brown
4) Add the wocester, tobasco and marmite
5) Crumble in the oxo cube, and add a little water (at this point add the red wine instead of the water)
6) Stir and gentle cook for 3 mins, add the tomato and basil sauce mix and bring to the boil
7) Simmer for 30 mins
8) Add to spaghetti that has been cooked to aldente, strain and coat in olive oil, fry in saucepan
9) Serve on a hot plate with garlic bread and parmesan cheese



Additional Tips
Red wine makes it good! For a good choice of tomato and basil sauce, its Lloyd Grossmans, if you want to make your own sauce to this too, by all means. This is just for quickness.
